In this session, I will explore how serverless architectures empower the next generation of AI-driven solutions. By utilizing cloud-native tools and services, we can build scalable, efficient, and cost-effective AI agents to power a wide variety of use-cases. This talk walks you through building and deploying serverless AI agents using Firebase Genkit via Project IDX.
Chaos engineering is a powerful methodology that empowers organizations to identify and address potential weaknesses in their systems before they lead to critical failures. By embracing chaos, teams can build more resilient and reliable systems, providing a better experience for end-users. The real-life examples mentioned in this blog and the outlined process flow should serve as a guide for organizations looking to implement effective chaos engineering management in their software development lifecycle. Embrace the chaos, test resilience, and fortify your systems for the challenges of the dynamic digital landscape. Let us delve into real-time chaos experiments and the outcomes we saw by intentionally introducing faults into our production environment. While tools such as Gremlin or Litmus can facilitate these experiments, we opted for manual execution initially to grasp the impact on our system’s health and the speed of recovery from such incidents.
Automating the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is a crucial aspect of contemporary development processes. As organizations transition towards container-based cloud-native solutions, embracing a cloud-native CI/CD solution becomes imperative. Tekton is a robust and adaptable open-source framework specifically designed for constructing CI/CD systems. It empowers developers to seamlessly build, test, and deploy applications across various cloud providers and on-premises systems. During this session, I will present a comprehensive overview of Tekton-based pipeline solutions, complemented by a live demonstration.

In this session, we'll explore using Amazon Q Developer to enhance customer experiences, automate workflows, and build voice-powered apps on AWS. Attendees will learn to leverage Q Developer's NLU for intuitive conversational interfaces, pre-built language models to accelerate development, and integration with AWS services. We'll cover customizing language models to fit business needs. Attendees will gain insights into the AWS AI/ML ecosystem and best practices for building intelligent, cloud-native apps. We'll discuss strategies to overcome challenges like data management and model maintenance. By the end, attendees will understand how to leverage conversational AI with Q Developer. They'll be equipped to build their own innovative, user-centric apps that tap into AWS. Whether experienced or new to AWS, this session will provide guidance to help you build smarter.
Comprehensive API testing is critical for delivering reliable applications. This talk focuses on the integration of API testing within CI/CD using mock tools. With mock tools, development teams can decouple from live dependencies, ensuring tests are repeatable and isolated from external factors The talk will touch up on mock libraries for unit testing and then move on to the relevance and criticality of API mocking. The talk will cover basic API design best practices, why integration testing is critical, and how managing dependencies in integration testing is a challenge. The talk will introduce the API mocks concepts, and cover the tool landscapes including but not limited to mock server/mockon/postman/wiremock, etc. The talk will conclude with a demo of a basic CI CD pipeline with integration tests implemented using open source mock tools.
Introduction to StackStorm and sample cases on Kubernetes and Cloud. - What is StackStorm - Architecture - Action - Workflow - Sample action execution - Use case 1 : Collecting heap dump when memory usage reaches 80% of a K8S Pod - 5mins - Use case 2 : Creating an EC2 instance using StackStorm
Apache Kafka is a widely-used distributed event streaming platform capable of handling real-time data feeds. Deploying Kafka in a Kubernetes environment can significantly enhance scalability, reliability, and management efficiency. Strimzi, an open-source project, simplifies the deployment and management of Apache Kafka on Kubernetes. This presentation will provide a detailed overview of deploying Strimzi for Apache Kafka on Kubernetes, covering prerequisites, step-by-step deployment
In this session explores the importance of policy engines in Kubernetes security and compares three popular options: OPA, Kyverno, and jsPolicy. (Will be focusing more on Kyverno and jsPolicy) The abstract highlights: - The role of policy engines in enforcing rules and best practices within Kubernetes clusters. - Key functionalities like validation, mutation, and compliance enforcement. - Brief descriptions of OPA, Kyverno, and jsPolicy, emphasizing their unique strengths. - Factors to consider when selecting the right policy engine for your needs. This presentation will benefit developers and operations professionals seeking to enhance the security and governance of their Kubernetes environments.
It's a process of overseeing and optimizing the financial aspects of your cloud computing environment. Cloud computing offers a scalable and cost-effective way to run out IT infrastructure. However, if left unchecked, cloud bills can spiral out of control. Cloud cost optimization is the practice of minimizing your cloud spending while maintaining performance. This abstract explores key strategies for achieving this balance, such as identifying wasted resources, right-sizing your cloud instances, and leveraging cost-saving features offered by cloud providers. By implementing these strategies, you can ensure you're only paying for the cloud resources you truly need.
